For the second year in a row, our very own Officer Nazam Ahmed and Operations Manager Mark Wilson were specially invited back to Lilycroft Primary School in Bradford to participate in their annual careers fair.
The headmistress herself extended the invitation, a testament to the positive impact Nazam and Mark had last year. On the day, they spent time with the children, offering a fascinating glimpse into what it's truly like to work in the security industry. Alongside other professionals, including a fitness instructor and a nurse, they provided valuable insights into various career paths.
To add to the excitement and make the experience interactive, Nazam and Mark demonstrated the practical side of security work. They used two-way radios to show how security professionals communicate and led a variety of engaging activities that brought "a day in the life of a security officer" to life for the students.
The children clearly learned a great deal and had immense fun, with some even remembering Mark and Nazam from the previous year's fair – a truly heart warming detail.
Nazam and Mark also gained valuable insights from their experience with the children and are already looking forward to the possibility of returning again next year.
Nazam explains why he feels this type of community interaction is so important: “When we inspire the next generation to become security guards, we’re not just guiding them toward a job - we’re empowering them to become everyday heroes, protectors of their communities, and leaders in responsibility and courage.”
It's wonderful to see our team members engaging with the community and inspiring the next generation. Well done, Nazam and Mark, for representing 4 Site Security so brilliantly.
